CRIME ACTIVITY REPORT
THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS COMPILED FROM VARIOUS SOURCES INCLUDING THE SAN FRANCISCO POLICE DEPARTMENT (SFPD), PATROL SPECIAL POLICE (PSP), BUSINESS OWNERS AND RESIDENTS TO ASSIST US IN UNDERSTANDING CRIME TRENDS AND APPLYING MITIGATION EFFORTS WE CAN ALL TAKE.

2245 hrs PSP ILLEGAL PARKING – 88 King PSP responded to a tenant call to the front desk regarding a car parked in the red zone. PSP located the vehicle and were about to issue a ticket when the owner arrived. PSP advised the owner not to park there again. The owner complied and moved the car. |

21:40 hrs PSP – TRESSPASS – PSP responded to a call over the SPFD police radio regarding two homeless were sleeping in front of 128 King Street who were blocking the door. PSP located the two, and moved them on before SFPD responded. |

03:52 hrs PSP – ATTEMPTED ILLEGAL ENTRY – Townsend St between 2nd St. and Embarcadero. PSP officers observed a homeless male checking car doors trying to find an open door. PSP contacted him and asked him what he was doing, he said he was trying to get out of the rain and find a place to sleep. Officers knew him from past contact and called the Mobile Assistance Patrol (MAP). MAP picked him up and took him to a shelter for the evening. |

22:40 hrs PSP CITIZEN ASSISTANCE – 2nd St. & Townsend St. PSP officers on patrol approached an elderly Asian lady who seemed lost. We found a cell phone on her called a number on the phone, which was her son’s number. The family had been looking for the woman for about 20 minutes. The son said she got on the wrong bus and lived in the Richmond District. We waited while her son came and picked her up. |

Unknown PSP – ATTEMPTED AUTO BOOST / STRIP – 788 Harrison & 4th St. PSP officers on routine patrol through the garage of the apartment complex observed the garage gate had been propped up with a tire jack to lift the gate just enough for someone to slip underneath. Suspect must have been disturbed by the PSP patrol as no-one was found but PSP confiscated the jack, ensured no-one was in the garage improperly and determined the gate had not been damaged. Over 100 cars were potential targets in the garage on this evening. |

At 20:50 hrs. – AGGRESSIVE PANHANDLING – PSP were flagged down at 4th and Townsend by a citizen complaining about an aggressive panhandler in front of Walgreens. Officers located the panhandler, advised the panhandler of the complaint and advised him to leave the area. He complied. |

17:35 hrs. – ILLEGAL ENCAMPMENT - PSP officers made contact with four homeless males sleeping on Colin P. Kelly St. They were on the side of 64 Townsend St. They were blocking the whole sidewalk with bikes and shopping carts. They complied and moved on without incident. |

- 500 Block of 5th Street – Patrol Special Police report these occurrences are resulting from the homeless shelter on 5th @ Harrison Street and a club where young attendees park in this area.
- 00 Block of Perry Street – noise / nuisance reports appear to have abated after a string of reports at the beginning of the month.
