The Rincon Hill Neighborhood Association was created in 2007 with the common goal of maintaining and improving the quality of life for residents and businesses in Rincon Hill, a growing neighborhood in San Francisco’s South of Market (SoMa) District bounded (roughly) by 2nd Street, Bryant Street, Market Street and The Embarcadero. RHNA’s officers, committee representatives, and members meet regularly to take up issues that affect the lives of Rincon Hill residents, merchants and businesses.
Our Mission
- To encourage friendly association among those residing in or owning homes or businesses within the boundaries of the Rincon Hill neighborhood.
- To protect the basic character and quality of life within the Rincon Hill neighborhood.
- To foster a sense of neighborhood pride.
- To undertake steps to keep the Rincon Hill neighborhood safe, clean, beautiful, and prosperous.
- To establish and/or support Association committees, to promote neighborhood events, and to sponsor volunteer activities that promote any one of the above objectives and purposes of the Rincon Hill Neighborhood Association.
- To inform Rincon Hill Neighborhood Association members of proposed changes to the neighborhood and other community issues, and to act as a representative of Association members on such issues.
- To work cooperatively with the City of San Francisco and other community groups to improve and further the neighborhood’s interests.
Our General Meetings
Get involved in your Rincon Hill neighborhood. Participate and make a positive impact. Get information and have your voice heard. Join us at our next general meeting. RHNA meetings are productive and informative, focusing on issues important to neighborhood residents and merchants such as public safety, transportation, planning, beautification, small business development, and more. RHNA is managed by a board of volunteers that live and do business in the Rincon Hill neighborhood.
Committees
Social
The Social Committee engages Rincon Hill residents and businesses in events and activities to foster the local community. This Committee is always looking for additional members, partnerships and activities. Please contact us if you would like to participate.
Advocacy
The Advocacy Committee informs Rincon Hill residents and businesses in quality of life issues in the area. This Committee engages those that care about Rincon Hill to advocate the neighborhood’s positions on various local matters. Please contact us if you would like to participate.
Merchant
The Merchant Committee works specifically with Rincon Hill businesses to help them address residents’ needs. This is an important part of RHNA, as the Association depends on the local businesses’ contributions for support. This committee is currently seeking a volunteer to Chair the activities, if you are interested, please contact us to discuss qualifications and duties.
